NEWS: Mass Gothic announce new EP ‘Sup Goth,’ share ‘A Run’

NEWS: Mass Gothic are streaming their new EP ‘Sup Goth’ in full

Mass Gothic – the new project of Hooray For Earth’s Noel Heroux and Jessica Zambri – have released a brand new EP, Sup Goth, the quick follow up to their self-titled debut album.  Still a fuzzy affair that that many of the musical motifs of their debut, Sup Goth does differ from Mass Gothic thematically.  While their debut LP mined the depths of depression for material, this new EP focuses on the resulting catharsis from doing so.  The duo had previously shared single from the EP, ‘A Run,’ but now the whole five-track collection is available to stream in full now.

Heroux said of the new EP:  “I followed my previously usually-ignored instinct to allow the noise and color in my head to inform a specific, intentional sound as opposed to ‘throwing it all at the wall’ as I’ve done a thousand times before.  It’s lyrically loose and conversational, informed by sonic landscape and stream of conscience.  Jess approached her vocals similarly, although we hadn’t talked about it prior.  We ended up with all these semi-hidden communications between us in the songs.”
