Max Bergstrom and David Behan – better known as Little White Things – previewed their debut track ‘Step Back’ in 2015, but are officially releasing the single on Chess Club Records on 9th December this year. That single pulled on the pair’s shared love for 60’s psychedelia and a catchy hook, with echoes of MGMT or Empire of the Sun.
The new release of ‘Step Back’ is being accompanied as a double A-side single by ‘Corner Of,’ which they’ve now also shared. Once again, it’s powered by a catchy, power-pop chorus and sparkling production. It’s punctuated by small stabs of funk-filled slap bass placed between euphoric harmonies and danceable drum beats. The vibes within ‘Corner Of’ reminds you of the fact that Behan and Bergstrom met at a late-night party, transporting you to a place where dancing is mandatory. Listen below.
Little White Things have also announced a new headline show. They’ll be playing at the Courtyard Theatre in London on 6th December.
