NEWS: Jennie Abrahamson announces new album ‘Reverseries’

Following the release of the single ‘Bloodlines’ earlier in the year, Swedish singer Jennie Abrahamson has revealed that her new album Reverseries will be out on 3rd March 2017 via How Sweet Is The Sound.  The follow up to 2012’s breakthrough album Gemini Gemini will see Abrahamson and her band using ethereal pop that deal with issues of intimacy, humanity and relationships.

Abrahamson says: “On this album I’ve both gone deeper within myself and further out than before.  Reverseries is interpersonal relations, both to the people we consider our close ones and to the ones we often talk of as “the other”.  How much do we dare to let in the ones who are closest to us, how much do we dare to love and be vulnerable?  With the state of the world as it is today – politically polarized and severely tested – can our built-in humanity remain?  Can we see “the other” as ourself?

She continued: “The times are challenging, but we need to find love within ourselves, dare to share it with our closest ones and let it spread beyond our own cells and circles to the very many who are in deeper need today.  I do believe these are historical times, and though it’s challenging I believe we have a chance to make a difference to the better, if we don’t resign to fear, hatred and only caring about our own safety and well-being.  Love and spread love.”
