NEWS: The Dears share new track ‘We Lost Everything’

Montreal band The Dears recently announced that their brand new album, Times Infinity Volume One, would be released on 3rd February 2017 on Dangerbird Records.  The LP is the first half of a two-part body of work to be recorded over a two-year period, with frontman Murray A. Lightburn saying that “it was very difficult to wrap one’s head around at first, but by the end of production, it just became easier and easier. It’s a metaphor for life, and our life’s story.”

They also shared the LP’s first single (‘I Used to Pray for the Heavens to Fall’) and a cosmic lyric video, and now they’ve revealed the album’s opener, ‘We Lost Everything.’  A shuddering track filled with synths, it gradually morphs into a funk-rock opus before climaxing with Lightburn’s fevered vocals and a wall of fuzzy riffs and electronic stabs.  Listen below.

After the release of the new album, The Dears will also be heading out on a short tour of the UK in February.  It’s their first UK tour in six years.  Details below.
