NEWS: Gaz Coombes, Alfa Mist, Greta Isaac, 77:78, Zabrinski and more added to Sŵn

Sŵn has announced the second wave of acts set to join its line up for the multi-venue festival taking place Wednesday 17th – Saturday 20th October 2018.

With the first announcement of acts including performers such as Boy Azooga, Drenge and Gwenno – they have now added thirty more artists.

Supergrass frontman, Gaz Coombes will unite his epic futuristic tones with lyrics to create a powerful political message when he performs material from his new album World’s Strongest Man. He will play Tramshed alongside The Go! Team and Boy Azooga on Friday 19.

On Saturday, East London’s Alfa Mist will bring together alternative hip-hop and melancholy. Also joining Saturday’s line up will be 77:78s.

Following a performance in Clwb last April, Queen Zee are coming back to Cardiff for another night of punk tunes. Soon to be touring with previously announced Sŵn artist, Dream Wife.

Saturday includes the huge harmonies of Greta Isaac and the heartfelt lyrics of Hana2k.Elsewhere the heavy riot band Grey HairsBandicoot and the scratchy noise pop of Yassassin perform.

Carmarthenshire’s Zabrinski, will also take to the stage for their first gig in over 10 years.

Local band Al Moses, due to support The Sherlocks on their upcoming Cardiff gig this summer, will play the Saturday alongside Carolines and Tracy Island. Plus, rising acts Perfect Body, Dead Method, singer songwriters Vince James and Christian Punter, and many more.

Guto Brychan, Chief Executive of Clwb Ifor Bach who have taken over the reins for 2018 said: “The second wave of announcements brings with it both legends in music and exciting young talent. The more acts we book the more excited we are for the event.

“Clwb, as a venue and promoter, is committed to supporting budding new acts in Wales and are proud that Sŵn will be hosting South Wales’ music development scheme, the Forté project, with all acts playing at the festival this year.”
