Next week, the American singing legend Dionne Warwick begins the UK leg of her Don’t Make Me Over tour. Named after her first single to enter the United States Billboard charts in early 1963, the tour will take in five dates in the United Kingdom. It begins at the Royal Albert Hall in London – where the five-time Grammy award winner will be backed by a live orchestra – and ends six nights later at The Sage in Gateshead.
Perhaps best known for her soulful interpretations of the songs of Burt Bacharach and Hal David in the 1960s, Dionne Warwick’s career now spans six decades. On this tour we can expect to hear many of those timeless classics, including ‘Walk On By’, ‘Anyone Who Had A Heart’, ‘I’ll Never Fall In Love Again’, ‘I Say A Little Prayer’, ‘What The World Needs Now Is Love’ and so many more besides.
