All ripped jeans, converse boots and dollops of attitude as well as a Ballardian art house video that would make the late architect Le Corbusier recoil. East London trio Berries hammer the human tendency to be untrue and the devastation that it can have, with their minimalist but poignant garage rock sound. Fans of Biffy Clyro, the Breeders and Wolf Alice will find a special place in their heart here.
Their new EP also includes the recent single ‘Silent’, championed by Huw Stephens on Radio 1 and ‘Dangerous’, which tackles the monotonous strain of the daily commute. ‘Wits’ completes the quartet of songs, dealing with anxiety and paranoia and the effect they can have on navigating life.
This last year has seen Berries storm the live scene landing slots at Electric Brixton, Village Underground, headlining and selling out Thousand Island under national promoters DHP and Scruff of the Neck alongside an extensive schedule of gigs across the UK.
