Norweigian folk singer Louien has today announced the release of her new single, ‘Better Woman’ via Jansen Records. The song is the lead single from her forthcoming EP ‘No Tomorrow’, which will be released on 4th June.
‘Better Woman’ is a beautiful and powerful song that ruminates on how we sometimes can blame ourselves and be achingly self-critical. The song irresistibly builds and flows, wilting and lifting with emotion and reflection, and is a fantastic taster for the forthcoming EP.
Discussing the new single, Louien revealed: “Better Woman is about an argument between a woman and her partner, someone she’s in love with, but she doesn’t know how to get through to. So, she blames it on her lack as a woman; that she isn’t good enough, warm enough, funny enough. She wishes she didn’t have so many feelings. Maybe she even wishes she was a man”.
