NEWS: Mogwai unveil new single and video ‘Boltfor’ ahead of Alexandra Palace Show and frontman’s autobiography

Mogwai have unveiled a new single, entitled ‘Boltfor.’

The track was originally recorded during the sessions for As The Love Continues, the band’s tenth studio album, which was released last year and debuted at No.1 on the UK album charts. It was recorded at Vada Studios and then completed at the band’s very own Castle of Doom studios in March 2022.

The song is accompanied by a video directed by Sam Wiehl. Wiehl previously directed the video for Mogwai’s track ‘Ritchie Sacramento.’

The band will play London’s Alexandra Palace on May 27; their largest UK headline show.

The release of ‘Boltfor‘ follows the announcement last week of frontman Stuart Braithwaite’s forthcoming autobiography, entitled Spaceships Over Glasgow: Mogwai and Misspent Youth. The book is set for publication on September 1 by White Rabbit.
