NEWS: Shygirl shares punchy new track ‘Come for me’ & EU Tour

Following the announcement of her forthcoming debut album Nymph due September 30th via Because Music, experimental pop artist Shygirl has shared the second offering from the album, Come For Me.

Produced by Arca, ‘Come For Me’ is a deconstructed dance track showcasing Shygirl’s fantastic ability to stretch and pull you in with crunchy beats and hooks, and a commanding vocal that sounds like it’s been beamed down from another planet. Throughout the punchy song Shygirl reminds us how she has the power and the know-how to direct what’s going down; “Come when you’re called / Be easy if I take the lead” she says.

Come For Me‘ follows the excellent genre-blurring lead single from Nymph, ‘Firefly,‘ that’s sleek melodic hooks, tip toed through popping beat which arrived with visuals directed by Yasser Abubeker. The 12-tracks of Nymph were created with a close-knit group of friends and previous collaborators including Mura Masa, Sega Bodega, Karma Kid, Cosha, and as previously mentioned Arca, along with the producers Noah Goldstein, Danny L Harle, BloodPop, Vegyn and Kingdom. Nymph reveals Shygirl’s inner self-reflection, playful inventive vocals and rippling soundscapes that merge elements of pop, r&b, electro and hip hop.

Nymph will follow Shygirl’s collaboration with FKA twigs on the Caprisongs track ‘papi bones’ along with the late 2021 offering ‘Cleo,’.

Shygirl will be performing at various festivals across the UK, Europe and the USA this summer including Glastonbury (UK), Roskilde (Denmark), Dour Festival (Belgium) and Primavera in LA and South America.
