NEWS: aspiring musician Javina Greene launches GoFundMe campaign

Javina Greene is a Midlands-based musician – who creates a mix of Afro Beat, hip hop, and spoken words – an exciting new talent who is seeking to fully launch her career in music.

Towards this end and having thus far been unsuccessful in her applications for funding from various musical organizations, Javina has decided to finance her No More Silence project by setting up a GoFundMe page.

In her prepared statement, Javina says:

“My name is Javina Greene and over six and a half years ago I was faced with a terrifying drug addiction. I was at the hands of a violent perpetrator, and collectively agencies gave me a safe space to breathe, a safe space to think, and a safe space for my voice to be heard.  From there I was able to buy my own computer, where I used Garageband to develop my track ‘No More Silence’.

That song ignited something within me. I felt my songs could inspire awareness, create a safe space for someone to ask for help, and give encouragement for others to follow their dreams and seek a better future.
If you choose to donate to this project the ‘No More Silence’ music video can be produced, edited, and launched. It will also aid my future organization FAM (Females About Music) with providing a safe space for women in the industry and giving support to those who need it.

I am looking to raise £5500 to cover the cost of this project, and any contributions are massively appreciated. For those looking to make a larger donation, I am providing a few special edition and limited release rewards. Such as an officially signed ‘No More Silence’ merch, or even a signed limited edition copy of the track.
