NEWS: Arctic Monkeys launch new track ‘Body Paint’ ahead of UK and Ireland tour and album

Arctic Monkeys have just launched ‘Body Paint’ a new track from their forthcoming album The Car set for release on Friday the 21st of October. The track follows ‘There’d Better be a Mirrorball’ which marked the band’s first new material since 2018’s Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino.

‘Body Paint’ featured on Clara Amfo’s Future Sounds show week, as the single became their ‘Hottest Record in the World.’ The track was given its live debut at Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre during an intimate performance last Thursday. Whilst in New York, Arctic Monkeys also recorded a musical performance for Jimmy Fallon‘s The Tonight Show. The video was directed by Brook Linder and filmed in London and Missouri. Once again, the band are displaying their immense capacity to metamorphosise in phenomenal fashion over time, exploring every crevice of the human condition in this cinematic track. Watch here:

‘The Car’ is available to order now via the AM Store

Tickets for the band’s forthcoming UK and Irish dates are on sale at 9am on 30th September. A second Manchester date has been added in response to the rapid sold out pre-sale.
