Today, we are debuting Rebebe‘s new video for ‘Tissue,’ the lead single from her new EP Deserving. Rebebe is one of the most creative, innovative new voices on the Danish alternative scene. ‘Tissue’ is a refreshing alt-pop track bouncing with pianos and insidious vocals that pop with withering, winding lines that playfully deconstruct privilege blindness “I’m handing you a tissue/so you can blow out your mummy issues” she sings. “A slush-ice coloured stretched out tongue at privilege blindness and the lead single from the new EP”. That holds five songs that somehow criticize Rebebe herself or her life experiences. They are told with optimism: “The World might howl but hope is essential,” as Rebebe says.
The EP is recorded along with Villads Øster from internationally acclaimed indie-pop band, Liss.
