NEWS: Weyes Blood shares new video for ‘Hearts Aglow’

The Transcendent folk-pop of LA-based artist, Weyes Blood aka Natalie Mering explores “everything that drives us, divides us, and destroys us.” Her otherworldly expansiveness, hook-laden melodies, flawless vocals and swirling psychedelic folk have had audiences enthralled. True to form, she has just aired a stunning new video for ‘Hearts Aglow;’ a highlight from her acclaimed album,  And In The Darkness, Hearts Aglow– a timeless cinematic centrepiece urging connection in the face of darkness. She sings “Oh, hearts aglow/ We don’t know where we’re going……The whole world is crumbling/Oh, baby, let’s dance in the sand.” Merging beauty with fragility, and darkness with soaring harmonies, she has expressed the doubt and yet each track is buoyed by hope — her music unfurling with stunning nuance and ease. The video was directed by tour photographer Neelam Khan Vela and is a visual collage of her headline dates in Europe and North America.

Her In Holy Flux Tour, resumes on August 14th in the US and she will tour through Europe and the UK in October. The run of European shows will kick off in Lisbon, Portugal followed by UK shows in Glasgow, Leeds and London’s Eventim Apollo (as part of Pitchfork Music Festival) on 13th November and will finish up at Rock City in Nottingham the following night.
