PREVIEW: Moseley Folk & Arts Festival 2023

When: 1st – 3rd September 2023
Where: Moseley Park, Birmingham, England

It’s hard to believe that in exactly one week’s time, Moseley Park and Pool – that delightful oasis of calm located a couple of miles south of Birmingham city centre – will open its gates to welcome back the ever-wonderful Moseley Folk & Arts Festival for what will be its 17th annual outing.

And once again Moseley Folk has put together a cracking programme of entertainment for our enjoyment, one that is packed full of some of the very best contemporary music that is around today, not to mention top class talks, comedy, spoken word events, and DJ sets.

The music line-up is led by Squeeze, The Saw Doctors, Wilco, Graham Nash, and Billy Bragg with a strong supporting cast that includes The Mary Wallopers, Stornoway, Gwenno, Wild Rivers, Scott Matthews, and many more great artists besides.

The Irish satirist Blindboy – of Blindboy Podcast fame – will also be appearing at this year’s event along with the highly-rated comedians Lou Sanders, Josh Pugh, and Robin Ince. Both Mark Radcliffe and Angeline Morrison will be in conversation over the weekend and there will be ample opportunity to attend various workshops and activities suited to people of all ages.

It all promises to be another fabulous weekend spent in the most estimable company of the Moseley Folk & Arts Festival. But if you want to join us you had better hurry over to the festival website as there are now less than 50 weekend tickets left.

Here are some of the highlights from last year’s festival:
