NEWS: RØRY shares emotive new single, ‘the apology i’ll never receive’

British alt-pop superstar RØRY is back with the release of her emotive new single ‘the apology i’ll never receive.’ The deeply personal and confessional track sees RØRY reflecting on the relationship breakdown between herself and her father, and the apology she so desperately seeks. Showcasing her exceptional voice, the heart-wrenching lyrics convey the turbulent and painful family relationship. “I have spent years waiting for my father to say sorry. I felt like I couldn’t move on from the pain without some kind of acknowledgement. I have been desperate for it… eventually, I decided to write it myself. And that is this song.” RØRY said of the track. She continues, “There are so many people out there who have been shamed, and scapegoated by their own families. I truly hope this can be healing for them to hear.”

the apology i’ll never receive follows on from the previous single, hurt myself, which has picked up a huge amount of support at TikTok, with over 11,000 uses of the song and he has over 300,000 followers and 2.8 million likes on her TikTok.

Since performing her first UK headline show in 2022, she has amassed an immense following with over twenty million streams on Spotify alone. RØRY began her career as a platinum-selling songwriter with writing credits for All American Rejects, You Me At Six, Charli XCX and NOAHFINNCE to name a few. After the passing of her mother when she was 22, RØRY struggled with addiction but is now five years sober. Her stage name RØRY is a combination of her first and last name, Roxanne Emery, representing the time she lost to addiction and mental health struggles. In 2021, she was diagnosed with ADHD and created an extremely popular TikTok channel, ADHD Love with her husband. Showing their day to day life with ADHD, the channel has picked up fans from all over the globe and has almost 700,000 followers and 25 million likes on TikTok alone. At a stage in her life where she has found acceptance, her resilience has left her passionate to help others and connect with her audience. They self released a book, Dirty Laundry, which went onto be a Sunday Times Bestseller.
