NEWS: Merryn Jeann releases final single ‘SUBCONSCIOUS LOVE CONNECTIONS’ ahead of new album

Merryn Jeann has released her final single ‘SUBCONSCIOUS LOVE CONNECTIONS’ ahead of the release of her first full length album DOG BEACH, due for release on 23rd February.

The track, and accompanying video, provides a beautiful and emotional look at long distance friendships and cherishing those defiant connections.  Jeann makes use of piano, spoken word and modern dream pop sounds to create a rich and blissful landscape.

The Australia based singer said,  “This song is about the love we feel because we have love to feel.  My friend was reaching out to myself and another best friend, whimpering over the phone that she wished we were with her as her home was flooded in and everyone was in a moody rain mood so weren’t answering their phones / weren’t close enough with her to be contacted in this moment of sadness and hopelessness.”

Exploring visual and sonic arts, Jeann’s creativity transports listeners to her one of a kind universe. As a diverse solo artist, she mixes profound storytelling and experimentation into her music.  All signs indicate the upcoming album, produced by Rob Ellis (best known for his work with PJ Harvey), will be no different.

‘DOG BEACH’ is out on 23 February 2024 on Rescue + Return Records.
