NEWS: LOUD WOMEN FEST announces its first wave of artists

The eighth LOUD WOMEN FEST will take place on 7th September 2024 at Rich Mix in London; a global showcase of the very best new female and non-binary talent rising up from the grassroots and alternative music scene. This year LOUD WOMEN received over 1,000 applications to play from artists from six continents across the world. LOUD WOMEN have previously hosted legends like Nova Twins, ARXX and Lambrini Girls amongst others and this year’s line up is equally bursting with superlative talent from all corners of the globe, from Brooklyn to Derry, Essex to Indonesia, seamlessly traversing landmass and genre with power and skill.

Artists include: Baby Said: Italian-Punjabi teens taking the UK Rock music scene by storm Bangzz: Japanese American gritty garage feminists punks, Berry Galazka: Polish-Floridian anti-Pop artist, Bridget: Essex’s grunge powerhouse, Bugeye: disco punks from Croydon
Cherym: hotly-tipped pop punks from Derry, NI, Chloe Hawes and the Holy Claws: non-binary punk and Americana fusion, Desert Sharks: gloom punk all-female quartet from Brooklyn, New York, Deuxes: NW London indie soul sister duo, I, Doris: London’s OG mummycore kitchenpunks, Murder Club: Riot-Grrrl-informed indie-pop/rockers from Newport, Wales.

Venior: Finnish artist presents “The Neon Pussy Universe” Zoe Sky Jordan: Toronto-raised LA-based indie pop artist, Yacko: Indonesian rapper fighting sexual harassment and gender inequality, Zhariah: LA-based music maven known for her genre-defying style.

With activism and campaigning at LOUD WOMEN’s heart alongside the music, the Fest will also be attended by speakers from: Safe Gigs for Women, Bloody Good Period, Level Up and Alliance for Choice (NI)

“It’s going to be a righteous and riotous global gathering of the most badass music makers,” says founder Cassie Fox. “It’s all-ages too, so bring the kids and inspire the next generation of punks!”
