Too Pure announce new single from Maps of Columbus

cover

Monday 11th July sees the release of the seventh single in the 3rd installment of the Too Pure Singles Club. Too Pure are introducing you to MAPS OF COLUMBUS.

MAPS OF COLUMBUS originally came together in July 2008 under the moniker The Last Great American Whale. This short lived, punk outfit lasted little more than a year and all that remains is a few self produced demo’s. Not ones to rest on their laurels the boys dusted themselves off and got to work on new material and a new direction and MAPS OF COLUMBUS was born.

In little over 18 months the band have played with the likes of New Young Pony Club and The Crookes as well as appearing at Sheffields Tramlines Festival, something they are repeating this summer. Couple this with an extensive tour of the UK the band have also been releasing a free download a month for the first half of 2011.
With more shows planned and the release of an EP the boys have found time to give us the chance to release their debut 7″ ‘Daisy’ b/w ‘Here’s My Friend Dan McKenna’
