Monarchy will release their latest single, ‘Maybe I’m Crazy’ on 22nd August. Stream what summer are calling a ‘summer anthem-in-waiting’ below!

The single has five remixes from Ibiza favourite Michael Woods, Breastfed Recordings co-owner Linus Love, Toronto disco outfit Azari & lll, Oslo electronic producer Disjokke, Deadly People’s Joe And Will Ask and the unofficial King Of Dalston Dreamtrak Diamond Sound.

The long awaited album, now entitled, ‘Around The Sun’ and featuring two new tracks, will precede the single and is due for release on 8th August, on 100% Records.

Monarchy launched in October 2009 to massive support from the blogosphere who were intrigued by their music, artwork and mystique. They caught the attention of tastemaker labels Neon Gold and Kitsune – who released their first tracks (respectively ‘Gold In The Fire’ and ‘The Phoenix Alive’) – and soon Monarchy were the band du jour amongst all the right circles.

2010 was a hugely exciting year for Monarchy – they were the first band to have a gig broadcast live into space from Cape Canaveral – and turned in sterling remixes for the likes of Kelis, Lady Gaga, Fyfe Dangerfield, Ellie Goulding and Kylie, to name a few. They released two singles (the aforementioned ‘The Phoenix Alive’ and ‘Love Get Out Of My Way’) while finishing their debut album and were declared one’s to watch by The Times, The Independent and NME. Their incredible live show has seen them perform at Coachella, Bestival and Big Chill festivals, and all across Europe. LoveBox and Melt are confirmed for the coming weeks.

Now back in control of their own destiny, 2011 is set to be yet an even bigger year for this creative and inspired outfit.
