One of the names to feature heavily in those tips for 2012 lists will be Daughter she releases her new EP ‘The Wild Youth’ this week via Communion Records (Ben Howard, Michael Kiwanuka). Featuring four brand new songs – ‘Home’, ‘Medicine’, ‘Youth’ & ‘Love’ – it will be available in physical format from a selection of leading independent UK record stores (Rise Records, Rough Trade etc).Showcasing Elena’s maturing songwriting and brooding personal themes, stream it below.
To mark the EP’s release, Elena, Igor & Remi will be playing three special UK Xmas shows under the banner of ‘Daughter & Friends’. These are headline (solo & full-band) Daughter shows, alongside sets from some of the trio’s closest musical friends. Full details are as follows:
