Track Of The Day #4 : Mindless Faith – Corporati$m

Recently The Guardian asserted that British guitar music had deceased and, whilst that is not strictly true, it has been knocked to its knees over recent years and electronic music is to blame of course!  Rather like the eighties, when monotonous synths replaced punk guitars, we have a situation that should be of grave concern to true music supporters!  I have no great affinities with electronic, as you may have gathered, as I find it too disingenuous and mechanical.  However, I did rather like The Prodigy, Chemical Brothers and Death In Vegas back in the indie dominated nineties.  My electro-pals back then, and moreso now, will inform me that these bands do not play electronic nor dance music and, quite frankly, that pleases me!

All that is rather a long winded means of getting to today’s little tune.  Mindless Faith are a US band who clearly won’t let the spirit of those nineties dance/rock crossover bands dwindle, even if the originators have!  They have just released their fifth album from whence today’s offering comes.  Head banging to ‘dance’ music is most certainly to be encouraged…”lager, lager, lager, lager, shouting”!
