Having had the good fortune to witness Ringo Deathstarr thrash the living daylights out of a performance in their native Austin, Texas, we are pretty pleased to be able to bring you the video for their new single ‘Rip’, out on Sept 10th . The band are not shy of comparisons with the likes of MBV, but our opinion is that that it won’t be long before other bands are citing comparisons to them. With Alex Gehring’s vocals floating over the dense buzz on this track, how can we describe it it? Shoe-gauze? No, that’s naff. Ether-gaze? Whatever, just listen.
