Spring Offensive 2 Alexa Gibben web

Oxford quintet SPRING OFFENSIVE return with darker side to their songwriting prowess on brand new single ‘Not Drowning But Waving’. Building from delicate instrumentals and affecting harmonies towards epic lament for loss, and this is reflected in the haunting accompanying video which you can watch below. Spring Offensive’s strength is in their communality of spirit and purpose.

Spring Offensive have confirmed its physical availability will be on very limited edition 7” vinyl with download code in bespoke packaging assembled by the band themselves.

This will only be available on their merch table and webstore exclusively for the two month duration of their imminent European tour, with the digital version available now.

When asked about the visual concept, guitarist and video creator/ director Matt Cooper states “The video takes the song’s narrative beyond the central event, investigating the burden and consequences of guilt; the main character’s reenactment of the drowning by wearing the dead man’s clothes and filling the bathroom with things from the beach, could stem from this or from a desire to experience what it is like for the victim”

Not Drowning But Waving is available digitally now and available to pre-order the vinyl from 10/09/12

SPRING OFFENSIVE will be heading off on a mammoth round of European shows, and will announce their UK dates in October. The 7” vinyl single will be available from shows and from their webstore exclusively for the duration of the tour.
