Hazy summer days, jumpers for goal posts, getting pissed with your new girlfriend and talking for hours as the sun goes down. ‘Alleyways’ the swoonesome new single from Swansea’s The Adelines conjures up all of these images, with Jennie Morris delightfully yearning love lorn vocals that float through a swaying almost 50s-esque backdrop replete with percussive drum fills and golden jangling guitar lines that weave dreamy patterns. Revealing a more poppy side compared to their more alt rock live performances, this is simply a pleasure to behold. Now let’s hope we get a few more glorious sunny days for this slice of sunshine to soundtrack!
