Bummer Album Of The Week: Jamie Cullum – Momentum

I think I started to dislike Jamie Cullum as soon as I heard his version of Radiohead’s ‘High And Dry’. He managed to wring every drop of emotion and passion out of the song, yet got lauded for his ‘interpretation’. Well the Rochford jazz-crossover crooner has just released his sixth emotionless album, ‘Momentum’, which includes one of the most awkward duets I’ve ever heard – with Roots Manuva You’ve guessed it – Bummer Album of the Week.

  1. Are you mad? ‘Emotionless’ is the last word I’d think of when listening to this album. Actually includes 10 original songs, dripping with style. The songs show a deep love of music and one of the 2 only covers, ‘Pure Imagination’ gives far more emotion and depth than the original ever did.
