Haddow Fest have announced a series of shows in Edinburgh to coincide with the Edinburgh Festival in August. They will stage eight shows in seven different Edinburgh venues from the 1st to the 16th August, with acts including The Cribs, Alabama 3, Broken Records, Art Brut, Kid Canaveral, Twisted Wheel, Capitals and Greg Pearson all headlining shows.
Organiser Hamish Jolly : “With a commitment to focus on our favourite acts and with a strong bias towards focusing on new and up-and-coming and established Scottish talent delighted that we’re able to put on these shows around Europe’s biggest festival. What better than to enjoy the festival and maybe take in some comedy during the day and come to see a great band that evening ?
Really looking forward to these shows – brilliant having The Cribs back after headlining Haddow Fest last year and with Paws will be a heck of a show, the legends that are Alabama 3, Art Brut in their commemorative tenth year, Twisted Wheel coming up from Manchester…and the Scottish acts – Broken Records ahead of their third album, Capitals who are creating quite the buzz already in Edinburgh, Fence’s Kid Canaveral who will be joined onstage by Glasgow’s Cairn String Quartet for a very special one off concert, not to mention Greg Pearson who is quite the singer songwriter. Going to be a really exciting couple of weeks, hope you enjoy the shows as much as I will”.
They have also added that more news on Haddow Fest events will be announced soon, including a very special one-off October Haddow Fest Presents show.
