Track Of The Day #419: There Will Be Fireworks – River

Right at the beginning of the year I prophesied that it could be the year of the Scots, with albums from Biffy Clyro, Frightened Rabbit and Glasvegas.  Well all three of those produced the goods but now, in the dying days, we have another band adding fuel to that fire.  They are a Glaswegian quartet called There Will Be Fireworks and their second album is just out, entitled ‘The Dark, Dark Bright’.  Very much in the mould of fellow Scots The Twilight Sad, it is both melancholic and uplifting, packed with passion and emotion and needs your attention.  Here’s your first opportunity.
