Track Of The Day #722: Strange & Primitive – Difficulties Be Damned

StrangeAndPrimitive_Promo2In life, there are two kinds of people: people who think music from the 1980s is the best thing ever, and those who, with the benefit of hindsight have come to the conclusion, it’s not a great as folk like to think it is.  Thankfully for all of us, Canadian duo Strange & Primitive manage to capture all that is great about 80s music.

Ahead of their self-titled album released in November comes ‘Difficulties Be Damned’, with its tribal-like drum beats, smooth and light falsetto vocals and synth sounds.  With hints of the summer just past, this will, at least temporarily, chase away the chill of autumn.  Just don’t go outside wearing shorts and t-shirts.  It’s very good, but it’s not a miracle worker.
