NEWS: The Divine Comedy announce tour and new album ‘Foreverland’

With a new album set for release September 2nd, The Divine Comedy announce UK and Irish dates as well as a slew of gigs around Europe.  Beginning October 7th in Aberystwyth the tour takes in 18 venues on this side of the channel as well as France, Belgium, Spain and all points north, south, east and west culminating in Dublin February 26th, 2017 full dates below.

Although Neil Hannon has been busy with cricket-based project The Duckworth Lewis Method, Foreverland is the first Divine Comedy album since Bang Goes the Knighthood released in 2010.  Whilst no material has been revealed as yet, there seems little reason to expect that the entirely esoteric furrows ploughed by one of pop’s most singular writers will not feature again.  For sure it’s likely to be the only album of the year referencing Catherine The Great and the French Foreign Legion. The additional prospect of, “the most historically inaccurate hit of the summer“, make this a welcome return indeed. Tickets on sale Friday, May 20th at 9am, details below.
