Malcolm Middleton and Aidan Moffat recently announced that they’d be getting back together to play a couple of shows celebrating the 20th anniversary of Arab Strap. Their tour dates in London and Glasgow sold out quickly, so a second date at the Barrowlands Ballroom in the Scottish city on 16th October was recently added. The group are also playing at Manchester’s O2 Ritz.
At the same time as announcing the reunion shows, they also shared a Miaoux Miaoux remix of their debut single, retitled ‘The First Big Weekend of 2016.’ The track now has a video, which has been edited by Glaswegian filmmakers Forest of Black. It’s a pretty DIY affair, piecing together bits of archive footage of the band into a mesmeric montage that captures the bands “10 years of tears.” Watch below.
