NEWS: The Warehouse Project unveils 12-week series of events in Manchester

When: 23rd September 2016 – 1st January 2017
Where: Various venues, Manchester

Promising an exciting line-up of exciting and influential artists, The Warehouse Project returns to Manchester from September for 12 weeks of the best acts in electronic, dance and beyond.  This year the events will take place mostly at the Project’s spiritual home of Store Street, but will also be expanding out into other venues in the city, including the Albert Hall, Old Granada Studios and Manchester Academy, with a few more intimate events are also yet to be announced.

Things kick off with a huge launch party featuring M.I.A, who’ll probably be performing songs from her upcoming album A.I.M, alongside Mura Masa, hip hop troupe Section Boyz and more.  Electro supergroup Moderat are playing a show at the Albert Hall alongside Manchester’s own Lone, while Four Tet has teamed up with the event to present a specially curated night.  Meanwhile, veteran DJ Shadow plays at the Old Granada Studios alongside guests Bondax and Lapalux.

Elsewhere, Skepta is performing and curating his own event, which will also feature fellow grime star Giggs, Zomby and others.  Chart-bothering dance act Gorgon City are set to play a special live show, and rappers Danny Brown and Wiley head up The Ape Birthday.  More used to festival tents, veteran raver Fatboy Slim will also be putting on his typically colourful show inside the intimate confines of the Albert Hall.

Tickets for the events go on sale at 9am on Friday 22nd July.
