NEWS: Lambchop to release new album ‘FLOTUS,' shares 'The Hustle'

NEWS: Lambchop shares new track ‘NIV’

On 4th November, Lambchop – aka Kurt Wagner – returns with a brand new album FLOTUS, which stands for For Love Often Turns Us Still.  It’s been inspired by modern R&B, soul and hip hop, with Wagner experimenting with other genres.  He says: “Overall, artists like myself have been using the same production techniques forever, letting technology enhance and further a sound but not really taking it to a new place.  Technology bending to the will of the creator became playful, complex, and exciting to hear on repeat with a structure still open to interpretation.

Having already previewed ‘The Hustle,’ Wagner is now sharing a new track from the album, ‘NIV.’  It was originally heard in the album’s teaser trailer but the full version features his own take on R&B but with some distinctly Lambchop flourishes, such as his own distinctive vocals and punctuations of piano.  Listen below.

Lambchop is heading out on an extensive European tour from January 2017, and is expected to release details of UK dates soon.
