Psychedelic pop musician Connan Mockasin and Late of the Pier and LA PRIEST’s Sam Dust recently revealed that they’ve been working together on a brand new album under the name Soft Hair. The self-titled album, which comes out via Weird World on 28th October, and was recorded the course of across five years. It’s a record that promises to transport the listener to a world somewhere between the familiar and unfamiliar, much like Mockasin and Dust’s other works.
Having already shared the record’s first single, ‘Lying Has to Stop,’ the pair have now revealed a second track from the collaborative LP, ‘In Love.’ It’s a smooth, psychedelic number with some odd flourishes, particularly in the slightly screeching synths, but also has a curiously R&B vibe. There’s even with some slight echoes of Prince in the vocals and funk-filled bass that underpins the track. Listen below.
