NEWS: Hazel English to release debut EP ‘Never Going Home’ in October

NEWS: Hazel English reveals new video for ‘Control’

Oakland-based singer-songwriter Hazel English has just released her debut EP Never Going Home today on House Anxiety/ Marathon Artists.  Produced by Jackson Phillips, better known as lo-fi indie artist Day Wave, the collection is a snapshot of her DIY works to date with a brand new sheen and a couple of new tracks.  Having already shared the title track and a live video, she’s now unveiled the new video for ‘Control.’

Directed by Kate Cox, the clip takes the theme of the EP to heart and shows English leaving her usual mundane routine behind for something new and unknown.  There weren’t any locations planned in advance or actors hired in. The lack of control gives the video a distinctive sense of spontaneity.  Watch below.

Hazel English is also embarking on her first ever UK tour in November, playing a handful of dates.  Details below.

19th November – The Poetry Club, Glasgow
20th November – Headrow House, Leeds
21st November – The Waiting Room, London
