NEWS: The Orb are now streaming new album ‘Chill Out World’

Electronic legends The Orb release their brand new album Chill Out World on Friday, but are now streaming the whole LP in full.  Described as a “protest album in reverse,” it’s a statement of intent from the band who, while not retreading the chillout vibes of the past, want people to calm down and sit back in these harsh times before things get destructive.  Alex Paterson describes Chill Out World as the pair’s “most ambient album yet” and, listening to the gentle pulsating synths and rhythms, that may well be true.

Thomas Fehlmann says: “COW / Chill Out, World! is an off the cuff, immediate album […] We produced it in the span of half a year, trusted our first instincts and allowed the ideas flow freely.  We’ve gained self confidence in our continuous search for surprises, and in many ways it’s a naivety we’ve found again, that lets us treat each tune as if it were the first.”  Listen to Chill Out World below.

The Orb are also taking their new LP on tour, with a number of dates across the UK in November and December. Details below.
