NEWS: Joan As Police Woman to sub for Guy Garvey on BBC 6 Music on Sunday

Ahead of the release of her new album alongside Benjamin Lazar Davis, Let It Be You, on Sunday 16th October at 2pm Joan Wasser, aka Joan As Police Woman, will be filling in for Guy Garvey on BBC 6 Music.  It will be Wasser’s first time presenting and she’ll be filling in for Garvey for three weeks.  In the process, she’s set to play an eclectic mix of the music she loves, including artists she’s collaborated with during her career, including The Smiths, ANHOHNI, Stevie Wonder and Angel Olsen.

Wasser said: “I’m thrilled and honoured to present shows for 6 Music and cover for Guy Garvey.  I love BBC6 Music and the people who work there – they have always played and supported my own music, each new release.  I’ve been excited about compiling these shows and listening to the music I’m going to play.”

The first edition of Joan As Police Woman filling in for Guy Garvey airs at 2pm on Sunday 16th October.  Watch the video for ‘Broke Me In Two’ with Benjamin Lazar Davis below.
