Jazz-fusion trio The Comet is Coming recently revealed a brand new remix of their single ‘Journey Through the Asteroid Belt’ by LV. Not ones to rest on their laurels, the group are already releasing new music not seen on their acclaimed record Channel the Spirits.
Their brand new single ‘Final Eclipse’ continues the astrological theme of their Mercury Prize-nominated album, and also continues to build on their reputation for making truly cosmic blends of jazz saxophone, clattering percussion and atmospheric, sometimes off-kilter synth tones. As the title might suggest, it takes its time to build itself into a frenzy, eventually ending in an explosion of stuttering brass and electronica. Listen below.
The band are also playing a number of shows in the UK next year. After revealing a handful of dates in between their European tour, they’ve just added a few new shows in the country as well. Details below.
