Track Of The Day #930: We Three And The Death Rattle - I See Static

Track Of The Day #972 : We Three And The Death Rattle – (Hail Mary) Sister Six

No strangers to the Track Of The Day berth at God Is In The TV, Leicester’s We Three And The Death Rattle return with a brilliantly ominous sounding new single. Beginning with a sample of a news item about the “lovebug virus” from an American television network, ‘(Hail Mary) Sister Six‘ is a brooding time bomb waiting to explode, given its sinister undercurrent by an unusually menacing Korg organ sound and some dark, dark lyrics  – “cast your line in the water and drown the witch.” And the video features Amy dressed as a nun. What’s not to like about that?

This is the second single (after ‘I See Static‘) to be taken from the band’s forthcoming Entrances & Exits album, and if those two little gems are anything to go by, we’re in for something very special indeed. Watch this space.
