Birdpeople are the Swedish/Finnish trio of Amanda Blomqvist, Cecilia Wickström and Jakob Lavonius. Birdpeople is their debut EP released by Monocetafon on the 4th of May 2018.
Playing self built instruments they craft electronic music with a sound that oscilates somewhere between The XX and Krautrock pioneers like Tangerine dream and Kraftwerk.
Their first single ‘The monument’ introduced us to the bands experimental and cosmic sound. They now follow it up with ‘Flesh & Bone’, an undulating, bass driven track laced with quirky vocal refrains that explore loneliness and are redolent of the Tindersticks or Wild Beasts. Today, we have the video premiere watch it above, this visual voyage is intercut with scenic landscape shots and vintage film clips.
