NEWS: Manchester Psych Fest full line-up revealed – Dry Cleaning, Tinariwen, Porridge Radio, Kokoroko

Manchester’s one-day psychedelic music and arts gathering has shared its full line-up for this year.

Joining the already announced Stereolab, Stealing Sheep, Whyte Horses and Bo Ningan will be Malian rebel rockers Tinariwen, feted post-punk outfit Dry Cleaning (pictured), afrobeat eight-piece Kokoroko and Japanese psych veterans Kikagaku MoyoManchester Psych Fest will also feature Billy Nomates, Porridge Radio, Jadu Heart, Crack Cloud, Pins, Los Bitchos and The Mysterines.

Not only that, but Welsh composer and violinist Angharad Davies is joined by Welsh Music Prize winner Gwenno to perform the live score of the multi award-winning experimental film Bait.

Manchester Psych Fest organiser Gareth Butterworth said:

“We’re really excited to launch the full line-up today. It’s our biggest and best to date – we’ve worked really hard to deliver a strong and diverse bill and we’re proud of it. It’s been a long time coming but it’s an amazing feeling to finally be getting back to live music. We can’t wait for September, it’s going to be incredible.”

Taking place on Saturday 4 September at Manchester venues the O2 Ritz, Gorilla, Dancehouse, Deaf Institute and YES, the festival will feature art installations from a selection of local artists and illustrators, as well as pop-up street food stalls, merch and much more.

Tickets are now on sale, with discounted rates for all NHS staff.
