NEWS : A Slow Education returns to York in May 2022

When: 20th and 21st May 2022
Where: The Crescent Community Venue, York

Following the huge success of last year’s inaugural event, A Slow Education makes a most welcome return to The Crescent in York.  Once more the former working men’s club located just outside York city centre will open its doors for a riotous 30-hour party to take place on both the Friday night and then all day Saturday.

A Slow Education will again present a tremendous bill of left field rock’n’roll and alternative music featuring both more established acts and local talent. Friday night’s secret headliners have yet to be confirmed but there is already a strong supporting cast in place, including the hotly-tipped Brighton band KEG and Iguanodon.

Topping the bill on Saturday night will be those inhabitants of the electronic forest, Snapped Ankles. Expect lashings of intense Krautrock, tribal rhythms, and post-punk noise. Before that there will be much else to enjoy including the London four-piece Modern Woman, Regressive Left, York’s very own Perspex who created such a great impression at last year’s event, fellow locals The Illness and Truman & The Indoor League.
