NEWS: The Soup Dragons announce compilation of early material

The Soup Dragons have announced details of a compilation of their early material, Raw TV Products: Singles and Rarities 1985-1988, which will be released by their original label Raw TV Products and Last Night From Glasgow, during late Autumn 2022.

By the time the band released their debut album This Is Our Art in 1988, the band’s sound had developed since these early releases, and many of the tracks have never appeared on album until now (a previous US compilation, Hang-Ten! saw a limited release in 1987, and on CD in 2005, but contains fewer tracks than the new collection).

Energetic singles like ‘Whole Wide World’, ‘Hang-Ten!’, ‘Head Gone Astray’ and ‘Can’t Take No More’ catapulted the band into the hearts of 80s indie kids and Raw TV Products… brings together these gems and twelve more tracks, perfectly capturing this period in The Soup Dragons’ history.

The album has been compiled by all four original members: singer Sean Dickson (AKA Hifi Sean), bassist Sushil K. Dade, drummer Ross Sinclair (who designed the artwork) and guitarist Jim McCulloch. It is released in four different colours of vinyl and can be pre-ordered here
