NEWS: Shygirl shares new single, ahead of forthcoming album, ‘Nymph’

Experimental hip hop artist, Shygirl, has just shared the new single ‘Coochie (a bedtime story)‘ which was featured as BBC Radio 1’s Hottest Record last night. The single follows previously released singles, ‘Come For Me‘ and ‘Firefly‘ and is a spellbinding glimpse of what is to come in her debut album Nymph, arriving on September 30th.

Shygirl has collaborated with FKA twigs on ‘papi bones‘ and with Mura Masa on his tracks ‘bbycakes’ and ‘hollaback b*tch.’ In 2021 Slowthai collaborated on her track ‘BDE’ and the self-directed short film, ‘Shygirl Blu,’ a live realization of her universally-acclaimed ‘ALIAS‘  EP.

The 12-tracks on her forthcoming album, Nymph, were created with a close-knit group of friends and collaborators including Mura Masa, Sega Bodega, Karma Kid, Cosha, and Arca. Nymph’reveals Shygirl’s inner world of self-reflection in experimental vocal tones and deconstructed dance melodies and exhibits a new level of intimacy and emotional depth in her song writing.

Shygirl has starred in Burberry’s AW21 presentation, claimed a coveted spot in Forbes30 Under 30, graced the cover of ES and V Magazines, and teamed up with Mura Masa to remix the Lady Gaga and Blackpink track ‘ Sour Candy’ for the Dawn of Chromatica album.

Having already performed storming sets at Primavera, We Love Green and Glastonbury, Shygirl continues her festival circuit with performances across Europe and the States including Forward Festival in Bristol, Primavera Sound LA, Katowice Festival in Poland and many more. Shygirl will bring it home to the UK by headlining Printworks in London and Albert Hall in Manchester in December.
