NEWS: Milky Chance Release New LP ‘Trip Tape II’

Milky Chance have released their new LPTrip Tape ii which follows a series of singles and their 2021 release of ‘Trip Tape’. Full of tasteful sounds and a unique cutting-edge production sound, the new release stands as an eccentric release that will resonate amongst die-hard Milky Chance fans.

Released via their own record label, Muggelig Records, the new LP features fan favourites such as ‘Synchronise, ‘Troubled Man’ and a cover of recent global hit ‘As It Was‘ by Harry Styles. Clemen Rehbein and Philip Dausch are the German duo behind Milky Chance, and their vocals and production techniques are something that stands out recognisable to most. Speaking on the new release, the duo write “In a phase of feeling pretty alienated due to events of today and lots of devastating realities of human society we tried to get into someone’s mind coming to earth for the first time nowadays.“

Tracks such as ‘It Is What It Is‘ bring a new style to the Milky Chance portfolio, with a soft and gentle sound that plays out smoothly. Covers such as Tame Impala’s “Lost In Yesterday” and Harry Styles cover of “As It Was” broaden the horizon and bring their sound a new style. The album demonstrates their ability to excel as a duo. It crosses sounds from rustic rock sounds, clear beats and electronic synth blips, making this release broad sounding and eccentric.

“Trip Tape ii” is out now on all streaming services.
