NEWS: Y Not Festival announces line-up

The 2023 edition of Y Not Festival has announced a huge chunk of its line-up. Headlining are festival favourites, Royal Blood and Kasabian, alongside the legend that is Paul Weller, with Bombay Bicycle Club opening the Thursday night.

Bringing a 90s vibe to the festival are James, who are actually anything but a heritage act, mainly refusing to play crowd-pleasing sets, and The Charlatans, while dance-rockers Everything Everything and, hot band of the minute, The Murder Capital join them. While it might feel a bit blokey so far- you could add The Wombats and DMA’s who are subbing – there are more diverse acts threaded throughout the bill, from rising stars like popster Maisie Peters, who’s just announced a huge Wembley Arena show in November, and rock-pop singer beabadoobee, to stalwarts like Sophie Ellis-Bexter, Kate Nash, and KT Tunstall

Further down the bill are the immense Billy Nomates, New Zealanders, The Beths, Scouse indie-rockers. Red Rum Club, Rachel Chnourri, Beans On Toast, Wunderhorse, Prima Queen, and Lizzie Esau. Oh, and who can forget Mr Motivator delivering the Saturday workout.

All in all an outstanding first announcement from Y Not, with more to come over the next few weeks. Tickets are on sale now.
