EXCLUSIVE: Alffa ‘Tough Love’ video premiere

Bi-lingual blues-punk-rock duo Alffa – Dion Jones (vocals, guitar) and Sion Land (drums) – released the blistering blow-the-doors off single ‘Tough Love’ last month, and we are delighted to premiere the video today. The song is gritty and driving and determined, and takes no prisoners whatsoever.
In the video we are observers of spy-based skullduggery, a mysterious drop off and pick up, delivered in stark black and white offset by soft greys.

The two piece garnered attention both in Wales and across the world when in 2018 debut single ‘Gwenwyn’ (Poison) became the first song performed in the Welsh language to log a million streams on Spotify, with following singles adding to the count. Building up to the release of a new album on Recordiau Côsh Records produced by award-winning producer and sound engineer Gethin Pearson (Badly Drawn Boy, Bloc Party, Charli XCX, whenyoung), the band has toured across the UK. Taking in Wales – of course – but also Chester, Edinburgh, and Glasgow, Alffa have a well deserved reputation for powerful live performance, confirmed by their set at FOCUS Wales in May.
