NEWS: Red Rooster Festival announces full line-up for 2024

Where: Euston Hall, Suffolk, England

This year Red Rooster Festival – the annual celebration of Cajun, soul, rock’n’roll, blues, roots, and country music that takes place in the spectacular surroundings of Euston Hall – celebrates its 10th anniversary and as befits such a great occasion it has today released full details of its line-up for this year’s event.

Making their first ever festival appearance will be Galen & Paul, the critically acclaimed collaboration of the celebrated solo artist and multi-instrumentalist Galen Ayers and Paul Simonon, legendary bassist of The Clash, The Good the  Bad & the Queen (with Damon Albarn).

Take Me To The River will be live on stage to present a musical extravaganza of New Orleans and Memphis Music, featuring Stax Records’ legend William Bell, the original members of The High Rhythm Section, who played on every Al Green record as well as alongside Ann Peebles, Otis Clay, and Syl Johnson. Also joining them will be the North Mississippi Allstars’ Luther Dickinson and Cody Dickinson, Big Chief Bo Dollis, Martin Shore and Boo Mitchell, son of Willie Mitchell, the father of the Memphis Sound.

Also on this year’s bill will be Muireanne Bradley, the 17-year-old finger-picking guitar player and singer from County Donegal who will be bringing her Country Blues and Ragtime Blues to Euston Hall, after having hit the number-one spot on the UK album download charts.

Further additions to this year’s Red Rooster line-up include the English musical savant Derek Paravicini, who will be joined on stage by his fellow pianist Paddy MilnerThe Hanging Stars, and many more brilliant names besides.

All these great artists have been added to a cracking bill which already included the previously announced Asleep At The Wheel, who will be joined by Brennen Leigh and Joshua HedleyRobert FinleyBob Log IIIKitty LivBrown HorseThe Dirty StrangersRoscoe Shakes, and Dylan Walshe

And if the music wasn’t enough, Red Rooster is known for its high-calibre food offerings and 2024 will be no different. New for the 10th anniversary, Red Rooster has teamed up with award-winning BBQ specialists Meat Street BBQ, to offer a sit-down banquet on each day of the festival. Themed to match the style of BBQ offering, you’ll be able to go traditional American BBQ on the Thursday with the “Smokestack Lighting” Banquet, an Asian BBQ on the Friday with the “How The East Was Won” Banquet, or you can go Middle Eastern on the Saturday with the “Country & Eastern Banquet” – Go check out the menus and dine in style HERE

Red Rooster has consistently sold out for the past five years, and tickets have been flying off the shelves at a record pace for its 10th anniversary in 2024. It is one of the best-value festival experiences with weekend tickets available for just £149.50 + booking fee for the entire weekend with three nights of camping and complimentary parking. As always, children aged 12 and under go free and discounted teen tickets are available also.
