She Makes War teases second album ‘Little Battles’ with FREE MP3

She Makes War aka Gloom pop artist Laura Kidd has announced that her new record “Little Battles” is finished! The official worldwide release date won’t be till next February/March but Pledgers will receive their digital copies on November 1st and Bandcamp pre-orders will open shortly afterwards and iTunes etc will follow in the New Year. “Little Battles” will be launched in style this November via a collaborative art show and an intimate gig, both in Vyner Street, Bethnal Green.

The gig is at Rebel HQ on Tuesday 15th November, and a strictly limited number of tickets are available now priced at £10 (no fees) – click here for full info. The show will mark the first public outing of SMW’s all star band The Olympians, starring Dana Jade (Gaggle), Annie and Tom Gardiner (Hysterical Injury) and Kat Arney (Shadow Orchestra). Gorgeous musical support will come from Lesley Spiers and This Is Radio Silence.

The art show will be hosted by Cultivate Gallery from 10th-16th November and takes its name from forthcoming single “In This Boat”. It’s a chance to showcase some of the talented photographers, artists and musicians involved in and alongside the She Makes War project, exploring themes of community and collaboration online and offline as well as giving a glimpse behind the scenes of the SMW world with video props, tour photos, lyrics, video screenings and acoustic performances from me and some very special guests.

There are still a few weeks for you to get involved and pledge on video props, days out, acoustic picnic tickets, paper dolls and more BUT if you want to get your name in the printed album credits please make your pledge before midnight on Saturday 8th October. Anyone pledging after that will still appear in the digital artwork and the campaign runs right up until November 1st.

SMW has also been confirmed as main support for the UK leg of Kim Boekbinder’s “Impossible Tour”, continuing her series of pre-sold gigs around the world. She’s going to be travelling all around the UK and popping over to Ireland to play some intimate shows, which will be her last gigs of a very busy year!
Tickets are only available via Kim’s Kickstarter campaign here and if the project doesn’t reach its target by Sunday none of the gigs will happen so grab your tickets now for the following dates:
Monday 21st November – Manchester
Tuesday 22nd November – Leeds
Wednesday 23rd – Dublin
Thursday 24th November – Birmingham
Friday 25th November – Brighton
