You know when old bands reform to release new material, you get that twinge of excitement, then realise they’re only doing it to pay off the tax man or ex wife?! Well (and I have no excuse for this) I listened to the new Van Halen album last week and realise that time really does stand still for some. Not that it’s that bad, it just belongs in 1982, not 2012, but then again, so do I! Today’s offering though is an elderly gentleman who has just released a rather good new album. Leonard Cohen it is, aged 77 (even older than me). An interesting odd fact for you too, the track attached was co written by Patrick Leonard, best known for his work with Madonna. Let’s hope it doesn’t compell Leonard to perform in a tight lycra all-in-one eh?!
